Orphan Black is literally everything I’ve always wanted to watch. Strong female lead motivated by something besides romance. Which, of course, is awesome for the most obvious reason: in real life, women want things besides romantic involvement with men.

Yet, as plain and obvious as that is, I’ve never seen a show with a female lead where that is the premise.
